Vert de Patricia marble and Ormolu urns, signed Henry Dasson, 1882. The pair are raised by circular Ormolu plinths below the round mottle marble socle with top Ormolu oak leaf designed band. Above are the urns with a central Ormolu band with designs of acanthus leaves below two twisted ribbon Ormolu trims. On each side of the urns are richly detailed handles of female maidens draped in classical garments and each holding a floral garland. At the top is an Ormolu ribbed band all below the dome shaped marble lid with top Ormolu berried foliate designed finial. A single 18th century original of this model is currently part of the collection at Frick Collection Museum in New York, NY, with another currently part of the collection at The Louvre Museum in Paris, France. This model of urn is after a model by Pierre Gouthière (French, 1732-1813) and a design by François-Joseph Belanger (French, 1775−1880). — Read Less
