The urn is raised by a thick circular cut base with a hexagon shaped ball fut. The cuts of the fut continue upward with the same elongated cuts and designs on the bottom of the vase. At the mid section of the urn is a mottled Ormolu band with two scrolled pierced handles with bottom oval designs. The cuts of the green colored Glass lead to the top mottled Ormolu rim. It was designed to imitate the appearance of hardstones such as jasper, agate, and lapis lazuli. The glass is characterized by its dense, stone-like opacity and dramatic marbled or veined patterns, often in deep reds, blues, greens, and browns. — Read Less
