Porcelain and Ormolu urn, signed Sévres. This most elegant lidded potpourri urn is raised on three elaborately scrolled legs with pawed feet and cabochons leading to top seashell mounts. The legs are connected to an Ormolu base plate below the intricately detailed Sèvres Porcelain body displaying a hand painted wrap around flowing reserve of blossoming flowers and vines surrounded by a beaded trim. The contours of the floral reserve are followed by whimsical hand painted Gilt scrolls accented with floral garlands. The Sévres Porcelain body is adorned with large scale Ormolu fabric swags connected to charming rosettes and leading to mythological creatures with horns to each side. An exceptionally designed Vitruvian scroll band continues around the top of the body and below the pierced rim. Above is wonderful Porcelain lid showcasing similar hand painted floral designs surrounding the original Ormolu berried finial, and the signature displayed on the underside. — Read Less
