This wonderful lidded urn is raised on a tripod shaped pink Onyx base supported on Ormolu bun feet below richly chased rosettes. Three scrolled Ormolu legs with hoof feet and beaded accents surround a central acorn finial and lead upward to a central band displaying Vitruvian scrolls. The three legs are joined to the body of the urn below richly chased rams heads while surrounding an inverted acorn finial and palmette designed underside of the urn. Each rams head is set on top of flowing ribbons which connect to a recessed Ormolu foliate band wrapping around the Onyx body. Above is an elegant beaded band following the rim of the Onyx lid, while above the tapered socle is a wonderfully detailed foliate finial. The lid can be removed to reveal the Ormolu finished interior. — Read Less
