The most impressive and uniquely shallow vitrine is raised by a bombée and scalloped shaped base with a decorative stepped design. At the center are two pairs of doors displaying striking scrolled designs and their original hand blow glass panes framed within a fine mottled border. The doors open to reveal a fitted ivory damask fabric, their original hardware, and two original shelves which follow the contours of the vitrine and display a gilded front band. The doors are separated by a central column with interlocking foliate patterns, while at each side are sensational foliate scrolled carved elements. Above is the wonderfully executed green faux painted marble top framed within a stunning foliate carved border. All original gilt throughout.
